The National Association of Jewellers has named Arabel Lebrusan UK Designer of the Year 2017.
Formed in 2015, the National Association of Jewellers sets the standard for professionalism, honesty and ethical business practices and represents over 2,000 members, whose businesses operate in every aspect of the jewellery industry.
The annual award ceremony celebrates exceptional contributions to the jewellery industry and took place at the St John’ Hotel in Birmingham on Thursday 7th December.
A graduate of Central St Martins in London and a passionate champion for ethical and fair-trade jewellery, Arabel Lebrusan, launched her award-winning business 5 years ago.
Feminine, intricate designs are created with meticulous attention-to-detail using only ethical materials. Made by master craftsmen in UK and Arabel’s native Spain, each exquisite piece explores modern interpretations of traditional techniques. The result is an ever-evolving collection with a timeless, vintage feel.
In addition to her ‘ready-to-wear’ range, Arabel offers a sought-after bespoke service, creating future heirlooms for private clients from her Bedfordshire studio.
She says:
“I am so happy to win the NAJ Designer of the Year 2017 Award. It feels great to be recognized for my design expertise but it is also very special that an ethical jeweller with a social mission like myself (and still making exquisite pieces of jewellery) has totally rock this!”
