Men's wedding bands
A simple guide, for those unsure of where to begin...

Which is the men's wedding ring finger?
In the UK and a number of other western cultures, the wedding band is traditionally worn on the fourth finger of the left hand. This romantic custom stems from Ancient Rome, when it was believed that the vein in this finger (the 'Vena Amoris') ran straight to the heart. We can help you decide on the right ring size for this finger.
RING SIZING
What's the best metal for a men's wedding ring?
Aesthetically, the choice is all yours; pick whatever feels most comfortable. lt's just important to bear metal hardness in mind. Your ring should be strong enough to withstand daily wear, especially if you're an active person. We recommend a metal no less durable than platinum or 18ct gold.

How much does a wedding ring cost?
Wedding bands vary in price based on factors such as metal type, band width and ring size. Simple designs are valued largely on their metal content, whilst specialist craftsmanship like hand-engraving is of course charged accordingly too. Our wedding rings range from £450 to £6,000, with our custom wedding rings start at £1,500.

Men's wedding band shapes
Otherwise known as the ‘comfort fit’ is the Court band, curved slightly on both the inside and outside. This inner-band curvature makes the band comfortable to take on and off the finger; ideal if you aren't used to wearing rings.
For a sleek and contemporary look, the Flat and Flat Court shapes boast streamlined outers. The Flat bands are levelled both inside and out, whilst the Flat Court rings offer that comfortable, curved inner.

Men's wedding band widths
We create our men's wedding rings in a variety of band widths, ranging from 2mm to 6mm and sometimes even beyond.
To get a feel for what's most comfortable and best suited your hand, you might find it useful to try on some of our sample wedding bands.

Hammered men's wedding rings
If you're drawn to jewellery with rustic, home-spun charm, you might appreciate a hammered finish; the perfect way to knock some charisma into the classic gold wedding band! Achieved by careful taps with a small, hand-held hammer, this organic technique leaves no two rings looking the same the same.
Hammered wedding bands are also pretty forgiving in the long run, as the can take on day-to-day knocks without giving too much away.

Matte wedding rings
We can round off any of our wedding rings with the finish of your choice, neither at any additional cost.
A polished finish is a timeless classic; clean and traditional.
A matte finish can be easily achieved by a once-over with a green scouring sponge - just like how Arabel was taught at jewellery school! A more contemporary take, the matte finish offers a diluted, satiny sheen. Similar to our hammered finishes, a band with a matte texture is merciful to small scratches and scuffs.

Simple answers to common questions about men's wedding rings
In the UK and most western cultures, the wedding band is traditionally worn on the fourth finger of the left hand. This custom originates from Ancient Rome, where it was believed that a vein in this finger, the Vena Amoris, or vein of love, ran directly to the heart. Lebrusan Studio can help you find the right size for this finger at a sample viewing appointment in Hatton Garden or Brighton.
The choice is largely personal, but metal hardness matters for everyday wear. Lebrusan Studio recommends a metal no less durable than platinum or 18ct gold, both of which withstand daily use, including active lifestyles. All wedding rings at Lebrusan Studio are made using Fairmined Ecological Gold or recycled platinum as standard, ensuring the metal is as responsibly sourced as it is durable.
Men's wedding rings at Lebrusan Studio range from £450 to £6,000, depending on metal type, band width and ring size. Simple bands are priced largely on their metal content, while specialist techniques such as hand-engraving are charged accordingly. Bespoke wedding rings start at £1,500. All prices include VAT.
A Court band, sometimes called a comfort fit, is curved on both the inside and outside, making it easy to put on and take off and particularly comfortable for those unaccustomed to wearing rings. A Flat band is level both inside and out, giving a clean, contemporary profile. A Flat Court combines the streamlined outer of a Flat band with the curved, comfortable inner of a Court, a popular choice for those who want a modern look without sacrificing wearability.
A polished finish is the classic choice, clean, reflective and traditional. A matte finish gives a softer, satiny sheen and a more contemporary feel. At Lebrusan Studio, either finish can be applied to any wedding ring at no additional cost. A matte finish also has the practical advantage of being more forgiving of small scratches over time.
