Bespoke Men's Medallion with Custom Coat of Arms
* Custom coat of arms designed and drawn for our client by artist Hew Locke; Hand-modelled by Arabel in low relief
* 18ct white gold with an organic textured finish
* Handcrafted chain of 18ct white gold beads and darkened platinum wire
* Laser-inscribed with a Berom proverb: “When the old songs are forgotten, the children dance to silence.”
* 12.67ct kite cut blue sapphire from the Chimwadzulu Mine, Malawi
* Second backdrop pendant with tassels and articulated charms set with fair-traded ruby, emerald and diamond
This medallion began as a pencil drawing, a coat of arms created by Hew Locke for a longstanding client of the Lebrusan Studio. Arabel traced it onto plasticine and modelled it by hand over many hours, returning to the art of medal-making she first learned during her Fine Arts degree in Madrid in the 1990s. The finished clay model was scanned, inviting the use of CAD software which offered us the precision to scale the design and to add the laser-inscribed proverb to its reverse.
