Your order will arrive securely packaged in a postal box branded only on the inside - so as not to arouse suspicion! This box is made from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®)-certified corrugated cardboard sourced from a forest where no more wood is cut down than that forest can reproduce. The sturdy nature of this box lends itself to repurposing; perhaps you could use it as storage, or to send a delivery of your own? If you decide instead to discard of it, please remove all postage stickers (since these cannot be recycled), flatten it, and dispose of it as per your local authority’s system for recycling dry cardboard.
Your branded Lebrusan Studio jewellery box is a keepsake, designed not just to deliver your jewellery, but as a storage solution moving forwards. Ring boxes are handy for transportation, keeping your jewellery safe when you take it off for housework, sports or manual labour, and protecting it from tarnishing during periods of non-wear. Should you decide your box is surplus to requirement, why not gift it to somebody else who might find it useful? Alternatively, the box itself is made from FSC-certified card and paper and is easily recycled. However, its faux suede lining and foam cushion is not recyclable, so must be removed first.
The tissue paper cushioning your special delivery is a mix of 70% FSC®-certified product and 30% recycled paper. It’s also free of chloride and acids, which are detrimental to the environment in large quantities. The short fibres of tissue paper do not lend themselves to successful recycling, however. Instead of disposing of it, you could repurpose it as wrapping paper or DIY decorations. Alternatively, tissue paper is compostable, its highly absorbent nature soaking up water and helping to minimise the smell of compost heaps and house plants whilst it breaks down.
Unfortunately, not many adhesives are recyclable. Please dispose of your metallic seal sticker in general waste or find a new use for it. Its surface can be written on with pens and permanent markers!
As a small but pioneering ethical business, we have a story to tell. Our small branded card is a keepsake reminder of the brand you chose to invest in. We use a printing house that was among the world’s first commercial printers to adopt vegetable-based inks as an alternative to petroleum-based products, which derive from a non-renewable source and are known to release volatile organic compounds that contribute to global warming. Meanwhile, vegetable inks derive from natural, renewable sources like corn oil or soybean oil. This card is uncoated and easily recyclable.
Each Lebrusan Studio jewel comes with a signed certificate of provenance, celebrating its traceability by detailing the specifications and origins of the precious materials used and its unique British manufacturing journey into fruition.
