Three reasons why she will love our ethical engagement rings

If you’re reading this blog then marriage is probably on the agenda. You’re definitely thinking about proposing to your girlfriend, and you’re most likely considering doing it with an ethical engagement ring.

Maybe you’re in the very early stages of deliberating or perhaps you’re on the cusp of purchasing the ring. Either way, I’d like to explain a little about why she will love an Arabel Lebrusan engagement ring, and everything they represent, which you will want to share with her once you’ve read this (after you’ve popped the question, of course).

1. Unique engagement ring designs

My designs are unique, but that is hardly an original statement. Type “unique engagement rings” into Google and you will come across everything from classical rings to unconventional designs that barely look like an engagement ring at all.

Designed by a woman for women, what I create are inherently feminine engagement rings that are delicately elegant and timelessly romantic. While I understand that many women have a desire to be different when it comes to what they wear on their wedding finger, I don’t create rings that will shock her parents when she shows it off to them for the first time.

Her friends will definitely realise you’ve done your homework, though. There is a beautiful story behind every Arabel Lebrusan engagement ring, and each is an exclusive creation, designed by me.

2. Made in Britain

Unlike many jewellers who choose to have their engagement rings made in Thailand where labour is cheaper, all of my engagement rings are designed and made in the UK. Tight regulations in Britain means that I know the artisans who create my engagement rings are doing so in a safe environment, and being paid a fair wage. And because we send out our rings by insured post, there is less transport involved, keeping our CO2 emissions to a minimum.

I am committed to only using Fairtradeand Fairminedgold in my designs, and there are very few workshops in the world that are able to accommodate this. The UK was the first country in the world to start working with Fairtrade and Fairmined gold, and we have the largest supply in Europe.

Talented craftsmen based in Hatton Garden, London’s famous jewellery district, lovingly craft each ring by hand. Specialists in engraving, stone-setting and polishing individually work on each Arabel Lebrusan engagement ring before it is taken to London’s Assay Office to be hallmarked. The fact that my engagement rings are made in Britain means that I can inspect every single ring that comes out of the workshop to ensure they are perfect. And as my guarantee to you that you’re buying an entirely British-made design, all our rings are stamped with a leopard’s head, the town mark of London.

3.Beautiful ethics

It’s cool to care, especially when you’re buying an engagement ring that will be contemplated every day. The notion that ethical engagement rings are somehow inferior because they are obviously handcrafted and not “luxury” has been left behind. Today, ethically and socially responsible customers know that you don’t have to compromise on your ring if you choose ethical, and that your purchase will be all the more precious as a consequence.

An engagement ring should tell a happy story to mark one of life’s happiest events, which is why I have been committed to making 100% ethical engagement rings for over 10 years. I talk about ethics a lot because that is where my passion lies. If you called me up tomorrow and asked where the gold or gemstones in one of my engagement rings comes from, I could tell you the exact mine. That is something that I feel really good about and which makes my customers feel good too.

Even if you don’t know where to start, I can help you make the right choice so that you don’t feel like you’re following the herd. For all the right reasons, I want your ring to be unique, just like your girlfriend.
